Miss Glossybox Unboxing

Recently I have been interested in the monthly beauty boxes and decided to subscribe to one. I researched lots into it and finally chose to subscribe to miss Glossybox. I understand what a difficult decision it is to decide between all the boxes out there so I thought I'd review it today for you.

It's safe to say I was thrilled to receive my first Miss Glossybox and was equally as thrilled to discover the contents. I think its a great idea that when you subscribe to Miss Glossybox, you fill out a beauty profile informing the Miss Glossybox team your skin type, hair type, complexion and preferences. As this is a Miss Glossybox, I will only receive products suited to my age group (teenagers and young adults) targeting good skin and complexion. Most people think that Miss Glossybox is all about the makeup and isn't worth the £7 every 2 months however I strongly disagree. Miss Glossybox contains 5 small beauty products and totals more around the £40 mark than £7. Also, out of the 5 products I received, only 1 makeup product. Here are the products I received:

1.  The Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Clearing Foaming Wash, originally priced at £13.00.
I'm overjoyed with this product, not only because I have already got more than my moneys worth with just this one product but it is a full sized product by a very good brand. For anyone who is not familiar with the brand Dermalogica, it is a brand often used in salons and professional beauty. I have been using this product and it has hugely cleared my skin. It smells fruity and like oranges and foams in your hand. You use this product daily, morning and night and it is a fantastic cleanser.

2. So… sinful? originally priced at £1.49.
I have always loved the 'So…?' products and I am very pleased I received this deodorant. It is a travel sized body spray therefore fits very easily in bags and lockers etc. It smells great and I am delighted to have received it.

3. The Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 Eyeshadow/Liner originally priced at £10.50.
This eyeliner/eyeshadow is a nice gold colour and is obviously a great price considering its originally over £10.

4. Lacoste Touch of Pink, the full size priced at £38.50.
Previously, my sister has had this perfume and I loved the scent so I was so pleased I got a small sample in my Miss Glossybox. It smells amazing and is great to have some considering the full price is £38.50!

5. Little Mix Nail Wraps created by Elegant Touch (Jades nails) originally priced at £6.
I was so excited when I saw these nail wraps, they are so bright and colourful and have recently been looking at the Little Mix range. I'm especially pleased it was Jades nails as she is probably my favourite member. I'm extremely excited to use these and will write a review on them once I have.

Overall I'm very pleased with my first Miss Glossybox and am glad I chose this beauty box. I loved every single product and would definitely recommend subscribing. You get so much for your money and actually use the products given. I also like the fact that a free bag is included, it can be used as a makeup bag or to keep beauty products organised. I am very excited to receive my next Glossybox in January.

Thank you for reading, sorry this post is so long!

Rimmel London Products

I love trying new drugstore brands so when I first tried out Rimmel London, I was pleased with how much I loved it. I would say it is one of my favourite drugstore makeup brands.

The first Rimmel Product I'll be reviewing is the Fix and Perfect Primer. I purchased this because it was part of a deal whereby I got the Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation and a free mascara included in the price. I love this primer, it feels just like a moisturiser and is really easy to rub in. I also find that at the end of the day, my makeup looks exactly the same as when I put it on. I love this product.

The next Rimmel Product I'm going to review is the Rimmel London Stay Matte Mousse Foundation. I purchased this product in the deal I told you about earlier and I love this foundation. it is one of my favourites. For more information about it, please see my 'Foundations Review' post.

The next product is the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder. This is my ultimate favourite loose powder. I think anyone would recommend this product. It is so inexpensive but effective. I will definitely repurchase this.

My next product is the Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer. I'm sure you'll of heard of this concealer, everyone raves about it but personally, I don't think its worth the hype. Don't get me wrong, its a good concealer but I think you can get better for your money.

My final Rimmel Products are the Kate Moss Lipsticks. I love these lipsticks. They hydrate and moisturise your lips while keeping them looking great. I have two in the colours 110 and 113 which are a bright, vivid coral and a subtle nude. The coral is fantastic, it doesn't smudge and looks great  however I am extremely disappointed with the nude colour. It clings to the chapped bits of your lips and just doesn't look nice at all. I regret buying this product. For colour swatches please check my other blog post 'Kate Moss Lipstick Review'.

Thank you for reading. Please comment below Rimmel Products that you would recommend me trying.

Kate Moss Lipstick Review

Hi everyone,
Today as you can see by the title, I am going to be reviewing the Kate Moss Lipsticks. I only have two shades but I feel that I know what the lipsticks are like now and hope to get more.

The two colours I have are: 110 and 113. The 110 lipstick is a much more bright, vibrant coral that is suitable for parties and nightlife rather than an everyday use. Personally I love this lipstick, its very pigmented and I love it. However the 113 colour is not as good. I think it clings to all of the chapped bits of your lips and the colour is not as nice as it looks off. On, it looks very washed out and makes you look peaky and makes your lips look really dehydrated and horrible. I regret purchasing this lipstick.

I really like the packaging of this product, I think its partly why the range is so popular. The red or black against Kate Moss' signature looks really effective and high-end. I also think the colours shown with the number is very close to the colour the lipsticks appear on. However, I wish these lipsticks had names as well as numbers as personally I just prefer it that way.

Overall, I really like this Kate Moss lipstick range by Rimmel London and look forward to purchasong many more.

Thanks for reading!

BabyLips by Maybelline Review

From Left to Right: Dr Rescue (Coral crave), Moisturising balm (Cherry Me), (Pink punch), (Peach Kiss)

Today I'm going to reviewing the BabyLips range by Maybelline. For me, this is a much loved range from a much loved brand, so I thought it would be the perfect thing to review.

I have purchased 4 of the BabyLips moisturising balms and I love them. I feel that they really do their job by repairing chapped lips and hydrating them throughout the day. "Our exclusive formula moisturizes lips for a full 8 hours. Lips renewed in 1 week." This is the description Maybelline give for their product and I agree. I think that this product does moisturize your lips very well, I'm not so sure about 8 hours though, I like to reapply my BabyLips throughout the day to keep my lips hydrated and to keep the colour fresh.

The 4 BabyLips lipbalms that I have are from 2 of the 3 ranges. Maybelline has released 3 ranges: the moisturizing balms (In the shades: Cherry me, Pink punch, Peach kiss, Grape vine, Peppermint and Quenched.), the Electro lip balms (In the shades: Pink shock, Fierce n tangy, Berry bomb, Oh! Orange!, Strike a pose and Minty sheer.) and the Dr Rescue lip balms (In the shades: Too cool, Pink me up, Soothing sorbet, Just peachy, Coral crave and Berry soft.)  I have 3 of the moisturizing balms and 1 of the Dr Rescues, unfortunately I have not yet purchased one of the Electro balms but it is on my christmas list! I have the colours Cherry Me, Pink punch and Peach kiss and I love all of them however, I find that Pink punch clings to the dry patches of your lips and therefore takes a lot of rubbing in and so for that reason it is my least favourite of the 3. I find that it is very unnatural looking and I prefer a subtle look on the lip for day-to-day. The Dr Rescue lip balm that I have is in the colour Coral crave and i love the colour, it is very sheer and subtle. I find that as this lipbalm is menthol to protect and soothe pain caused from ulcers, coldsores and general pain around the mouth, it has minty, fresh scent.

Overall I would highly recommend the BabyLips range from Maybelline and look forward to purchasing more.
